The restaurant is the place where our guests get in direct touch, through the food and wine, with our farm, with the territory and with the gastronomy of our region.
Our cuisine is based on typical farm food and is strongly linked to the traditions of both the area of Naples and the area of Cilento, that was chosen by UNESCO as representative site for the Mediterranean Diet. Our appetizers, side dishes and the dressing for the first courses are based from the products of our organic farm. These include, according to the season, many varieties of vegetables (“rucola” – rocket or arugula in English -, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, egg-plants, peppers), olive oil, canned tomatoes, different herbs, jam and marmalades, limoncello and of course our wine. Other products are from neighbouring farms. Mozzarella, the most famous typical product from our area, is from a nearby buffalo farm. Milk and other cheeses are form a nearby cow farm. Other products as ham and different varieties of salami are from hills around. Fruits are from La Morella or from neighbouring farms.
The wine of the farmhouse Agriturismo La Morella
The wine, finally, is definitely the specialty of the house. From the vineyards and cellars of our farm, we will offer you our red wine Ascolto, obtained from the wine Aglianico, and our white wine, obtained from the vine Falanghina.
The room of our restaurant
The rooms of the restaurant are set up in the premises of our eighteenth-century building, at the ground floor. They retain the rustic but elegant style of a farmhouse that was once among the most important in the whole Piana del Sele.
